In an active response to the special emulation appeal made by the Prime Minister on encouraging the whole country to promote the spirit of solidarity in a bid to secure a victory over COVID-19, the Da Nang traffic police force is partnering with other relevant units make a solid "shield" on  the frontlines of the city's fight against the virus.

As reported, since COVID-19 re-emerged in May, a large number of local traffic police officers and men have been deployed to checkpoints, especially those at the city’s gateways.

Despite working continuously for many hours in a working environment without air-conditioning during scorching days, ‘soldiers’ in the yellow uniform are still diligently clinging to the checkpoints to control vehicles into and out of the city in a bid to prevent further penetration of COVID-19 infections into the city.

Their main concern overwhelming their minds is just how to fulfill their assigned tasks as best they can with a strong determination to fight COVID-19 by every means.

Also notably, under the spirit of mutual support and solidarity and the time-honoured “The intact leaves protect the tattered ones” tradition, local traffic police and a number of sponsors supported tens of tonnes of root, tuber, and leaf vegetables, rice and thousands of boxes of instant noodles for poverty-stricken households and those who join pandemic prevention and control misssions.

The positive contributions of the Da Nang traffic police force over the past time have shown their strong determination and solidarity with the whole political system to stamp out COVID-19.
