Da Nang's daily COVID-19 infection count reaches 81 on Sept. 3, including 6 found in the community
Da Nang recorded 81 COVID-19 cases on Friday, September 3, of which, 31 were in found in designated quarantine facilities, 8 were self-isolating at home, 36 were identified in locked down areas and the remaining 6 were detected in the community.
Of the 6 community-acquired cases, 4 are employees of the Department of Telecommunications and Information Technology in Central Viet Nam of the Telecommunications and Information Technology company located at 53 Le Dinh Ly, Thanh Khe District. They stayed at the company for work under the ‘3 -on- the -spot’ (on-site production, on-site dining, on-site rest) approach, and all of them had tested negative for the virus before.
Another case is a 55-year-old resident in An Hai Dong Ward, Son Tra District had her nasal swab samples at home by the medical staff for COVID-19 testing due to the displaying of some suspicious symptoms.
The remaining one is a 32-year-old dweller in residential group No. 31, Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District. This patient was detected via the ongoing the ‘one door- one test’ campaign with testing applied to household representatives.
The 6 community-acquired cases as above mentioned are of unknown sources of transmissions for the time being.
As calculated, the infection cluster linked to the ‘one door- one test’ campaign documented 44 cases on Friday. Meanwhile, the infection chain at the already-shut-down Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market, the largest of its kind in Central Viet Nam, showed signs of subsiding with 27 cases detected on the same day.
Amongst the local districts, Thanh Khe recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases on the review day with 42, followed by Hai Chau 22, Cam Le with 7, Son Tra with 5, Lien Chieu with 4, and Ngu Hanh Son with 1. No new case was reported in Hoa Vang.
Currently, there are 12 out of the total 56 wards and communes across the city without community-acquired cases for 14 consecutive days, Nam Duong and Phuoc Ninh wards including Hai Chau, An Hai Bac and Man Thai wards in Son Tra District, Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien and Hoa Nhon communes in Hoa Vang District, Hoa Quy Ward in Ngu Hanh Son District and Hoa Hiep Bac Ward in Lien Chieu District.
The day's number has pushed the city’s tally in the ongoing wave since July 10 to 4,227.
