Da Nang's daily COVID-19 infection count stands at 30 on Sept.10, including 4 found in the community
Da Nang confirmed 30 COVID-19 cases on Friday, September 10, of which, 9 were in found in the city’s designated quarantine facilities, 10 were self-isolating at home, 7 were identified in locked down areas and the remaining 4 were found in the community.
The total 4 community transmission cases were detected via the ongoing the ‘one door- one test’ campaign with testing applied to household representatives across the city, comprising 2 in Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District, and one each in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, and Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District).
The sources of infection linked to these aforementioned 4 cases now remain unknown.
Currently, COVID-19 cases in Da Nang are related to 6 infection chains.
In particular, the infection chain at the already-shut-down Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market, the largest of its kind in Central Viet Nam, has been well controlled, with 4 cases detected on Friday.
The infection cluster linked to the ‘one door- one test’ campaign is now still at a high risk of further COVID-19 spread with 20 cases documented on the same day.
Likewise, the chain of infection linked to direct COVID-19 contacts who test positive for the virus following their stay in the city’s designated quarantine facilities recorded one case.
Amongst the local districts, Thanh Khe recorded the highest number of 12, followed by Hai Chau with 11, Lien Chieu with 4, Cam Le with 2, and Hoa Vang with 1.
Notably, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son saw no new positive case today.
Currently, there are 19 out of the total 56 wards and communes across the city without community-acquired cases for 14 consecutive days, namely the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong and Hoa Phuoc in Hoa Vang District, the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong and Tho Quang in Son Tra District, Hoa Quy Ward in Ngu Hanh Son District, the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong and Hai Chau 1 in Hai Chau District and Hoa Khe Ward in Thanh Khe District.
The city’s COVID-19 infection tally in the ongoing wave has hit 4,530 since July 10.
