Ensuring absolute safety of crews and boats at Tho Quang fishing wharf's storm shelters
During his inspection visit on Saturday to the Tho Quang fishing wharf based in Son Tra District, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang directed relevant local forces to facilitate fishing vessels from the city and other localities and crews on board to take shelters from typhoon Conson at the wharf with the top priority given to ensuring their absolute safety.

According to a report by a representative of the Authority of Tho Quang fishing wharf, over 700 fishing vessels with a combined total of about 1,000 fishermen have taken shelters here. The number of crew members on board each ship has been strictly managed.
Rapid antigen tests for COVID-19 are being conducted on all fishermen from boats. Those who test negative for the virus are allowed to go ashore. Meals and accommodations for these fishermen have been fully prepared.
Secretary Quang asked relevant units to ensure absolute safety for vessels being anchored at the fishing wharf in order to prevent them from sinking or catching fire at the shelters.
On the same day, the city’s Party chief checked the practice of storm response and mitigation measures at the Tien Sa Port, directing functional bodies to proactively ensure absolute safety of ships and goods in the port area.
The port temporarily closed down prior to the arrival of the typhoon on Saturday morning. Goods and containers in the warehouses have been arranged in blocks and carefully stored. Also, the cranes have been lowered to avoid damage.and ensure safety during the storm.
