Accordingly, from August 28 to September 6, the airport’s staff joined the cooking of 5,000 servings of lunch, with each worth VND50,000, for the daily distribution to the doctors and nurses at the vaccination sites.
In addition, the airport has provided VND300 million worth of support for the municipal administration-run supportive programmes targeting poverty-stricken residents citywide. Of this, the amount of VND150 million was directly given to the Da Nang Police Department to subsidise the supply of food to local resident at mobile sales points during the strict compliance with the ‘stay-at-home’ order.
Mr. Hoang Huu Cuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang International Airport, said that, given the high spirit of joining hands with the city to stamp out the virus resurgence, his agency has deployed a wide range of community programmes during which focus was on supporting medical forces on the front lines against COVID-19 and providing food for those in need.
