Six new COVID-19 cases identified in Da Nang's Hai Chau District
Hai Chau District, Da Nang, has just recorded 6 new COVID-19 cases, 5 of whom living in the same house, Mr Le Tu Gia Thanh, Chairman of the Hai Chau People's Committee, confirmed on Friday morning.
A 43-year-old residents in alley No. 90, Dong Da Street, Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus via the ongoing ‘one door- one test’ campaign with testing applied to household representatives on Thursday.
It is known that the patient lives with 7 other family members, including parents, 2 older brothers, a sister-in-law and 2 nieces/nephews.
As of Friday noon, 4 of his family members and one neighbour living in the same alley with the patient had tested positive for the virus.
“Rapid antigen tests on about 300 people living nearby the patient’s house are underway. After the test results are available, the district’s authorities will deploy coronavirus prevention and control measures in accordance with the actual situation”, Chairman Thanh said.
