In detail, random and periodic testing for the deadly virus will be conducted in high-risk areas with large crowds such as medical examination and treatment facilities, wholesale markets, inter-provincial coach stations and supermarkets.

Focus will be on carrying out testing on at-risk groups of people who usually visit many different places and come into contact with others such as drivers of coaches travelling on inter-provincial routes, motorbike taxi drivers, delivery people on motorbikes (locally known as shippers) and returnees from coronavirus-stricken zones.

During the testing period running from October 28 to 30, the testing for COVID-19 will conducted on arrivals in Da Nang from other provinces and cities nationwide within the past 14 days (as of October 28), especially those returning from localities with a recent high number of infections such as HCM City, Binh Duong, Long An, Dong Nai, An Giang, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Dak Lak and Phu Tho.

As per request of the municipal administration has assigned the district-level authorities shall assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with other functional localities in reviewing and making a list of returnees to Da Nang from other localities for the conduction of  SARS-CoV-2 screening tests.
