Da Nang COVID-19 updates on Oct. 27: 3 new cases found in managed isolation, zero community infection

On Wednesday, October 27, Da Nang recorded three new cases of COVID-19, all of which were found in managed isolation. Today saw no new community transmission cases, like previous days.

Specifically, two patients, residing in Binh Hien and Nam Duong wards, Hai Chau District, respectively, were confirmed to be infected with the virus via testing during their stay in the local authorities-designated centralised quarantine facilities.

The duo were the close contacts of a previously-confirmed patient.

The remaining one is a returnee from coronavirus-stricken HCM City. This person tested positive for the coronavirus via mandatory rapid antigen testing whilst passing through checkpoint C4 set up at the Da Nang gateway.

He was confirmed to contract the virus after a confirmation test conducted by the RT-PCR technique.

Also on Wednesday, Da Nang handled 51 turnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in accordance with the regulations.

Currently, 28 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities whilst 1,019 others are self-quarantining at home.

The city now has four blockaded sites, putting 56 households with a combined total of 198 people under lockdown. Of them, 79 residents belonging to 18 sealed-off families are logged in Hai Chau District, whilst the rest are identified in Thanh Khe District.

A combined total of 240 people are put under compulsory quarantine in nine centralised facilities.

Up to now, 1.010,963 out of the already received 1,007,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 858, 026 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 152, 937 have got the second jabs against the highly contagious disease.

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, its caseload tally has stayed at 4,709.
