Da Nang logs 2 new cases of COVID-19 on Oct. 26, found in managed isolation, zero community infection

On Tuesday, October 26, Da Nang recorded two new cases of COVID-19 which were found in managed isolation. Once again, no new community transmission cases were recorded today.

Specifically, one patient, residing in Nam Duong Ward, Hai Chau District, was confirmed to be infected with the virus via testing whilst staying at a local centralized quarantine facility. This patient was linked to a previously-confirmed patient dwelling at 259 Le Duan, Tan Chinh Ward, Thanh Khe District, bringing the total number of active cases linked to this transmission chain to 15. 

The other is a patient from Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District. He returned from coronavirus-hit HCM City by train on October 25 and was undergoing self-quarantine at home.

Also on Tuesday, Da Nang handled 106 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in accordance with the regulations.

For the time being, 27 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities-designated centralised facilities whilst 1,030 others are self-quarantining at home.

The city now has 4 blockaded sites, putting 56 households with a combined total of 198 people under lockdown.

Of them, 79 residents belonging to 18 sealed-off families are logged in Hai Chau District, whilst the rest are identified in Thanh Khe District.

A combined total of 256 people are put under compulsory quarantine in 12 centralised facilities.

Till date 1,005,098 out of the already received 1,124,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 856,585 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 148,513 have got a full 2-dose course.

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, its caseload tally has stayed at 4,706.
