Da Nang is to give out the second doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to 24,438 eligible people from October 28 - 30, Dr Nguyen Tien Hong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Health said on Wednesday.

Beneficiaries will be those who already received the first doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine under the Plan No. 3824/KH-SYT dated on August 16 and Plan No. 3938/KHSYT dated on August 22, and those who missed their second doses of the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines in previous vaccination programmes.

The vaccination will be available at 10 vaccination points across the city.

All vaccination sites will do temperature checks on people before entry allowing space for social distancing and a 30-minute recovery time. Also, strictest health and safety measures, especially the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health, will be put in place at these venues.

Beneficiaries will undergo medical checks, and will be provided with medical advice before vaccination and post-vaccination observation.
