The Hoa Nhon Gate Traffic Police under the Da Nang Department of Police an administrative fine of VND 7.5 million on a 40-year-old driver from Quang Nam Province for dropping passengers in the wrong area.

Previously, at 10:30am on October 20, a passenger coach, carrying a total of 43 passengers en route from Quang Ngai – Ha Noi, was caught red handed illegally dropping off 27 passengers at a gas station located on a bypass route to the south of the Hai Van road tunnel.

In a prompt fashion, the Hoa Nhon Gate traffic police officers coordinated with relevant local agencies to track down these passengers and handed them over to the local medical force for their mandatory health declarations and quarantine in line with the regulations.

In addition to the imposition of administrative sanctions, the Hoa Nhon border traffic police station sent a notice to the Quang Ngai provincial Department of Transport for the suspension of the offending driver.
