The Da Nang People's Committee has just released a dispatch requesting all departments, agencies and the district-ward authorities to actively use weather forecast bulletins released by the Viet Nam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration on the developments of natural disasters in the next 10 days and weather trends in the rest of this year.

Focus should be placed on using the latest updated information and the most reliable short-term forecast bulletins to implement specific disaster prevention and control plans as prescribed.

According to the Viet Nam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration, heavy rain is highly likely to occur in the near future with a great intensity.

Provinces and cities in Central Viet Nam and Northern Highlands need to pay special attention to tackling a very high risk of flash floods, landslides and large-scale inundation in the coming time.

It is forecasted that in October and November 2021, storms may make landfalls in the central region with rainfall being 15-30% higher than the average recorded in many years.

Also, many tropical depressions and storms are expected to rage on the East Sea.
