New community-acquired patient in Da Nang previously violates at-home quarantine regulations, visit many places
One new COVID-19 case in the community reported in Da Nang on Sunday, October 31 is permanent resident from Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District. The local authorities are making legal proceedings against this patient for having violated mandatory at-home quarantine rules as he had left home for many places in the city, Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee said.
The man returned from coronavirus-stricken Ho Chi Minh City on October 28 on flight QH172. Upon his arrival in Da Nang on the evening of October 28, the patient went to the Khue My Ward Medical Station to make a compulsory medical declaration.
Here, the medical staff required the man to undergo self-quarantine at home for 14 days, from October 28 to November 11, because he hailed from a zone at pandemic risk level 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, the man also signed an in-principle commitment on his strict compliance with the quarantine rules and pledged not to leave the place of residence during the 14-day period.
However, the man went against the rules. At about 1:00pm on October 29, the patient went to ACB Bank ATM on Thai Phien Street, Hai Chau District for money withdrawal.
At around 1:20pm, he came to his company at 52 Tran Quy Cap for a while and then went home.
Especially, from 6:45pm to 8:45pm on October 30, the patient joined a party with his friends at the Ngan Ha restaurant at 27 Ho Nghinh, Son Tra District.
As a precaution, anyone who visited at locations at specific times as follow or come into contact with the aforementioned patient should monitor their health and contact the nearest medical facility for medical declarations, timely COVID-19 testing and other supportive moves against potential infections in line with the existing regulations.
