No new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Da Nang on Oct. 21

October 21 saw zero coronavirus cases in Da Nang, the municipal Steering Board of COVID-19 Prevention and Control said.

The city, currently, has 4 blockaded sites, putting 56 households with a combined total of 198 people under lockdown.

Also on Thursday, a combined total of 6,114 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 4,599 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

In addition, the local healthcare sector also conducted rapid antigen testing on 1,097 road users onboard vehicles entering the city through gateway checkpoints.

Today, Da Nang handled 112 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in line with the regulations.

Currently, 64 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities whilst 825 others are self-quarantining at home.

A combined total of 405 people are now subject to compulsory quarantine in 14 centralised facilities.

Up to now, 993,618 out of the already received 1,007,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 854,108 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 139,510 have got a full 2-dose course .

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, its caseload tally has stayed at 4,692.
