Over the past 3 decades, a combined total of over VND320 billion has been raised by the Da Nang Study Encouragement Association and its chapters to fund study encouragement activities citywide.

The raised money has been used to grant scholarships to thousands of poor studious pupils, donating learning tools for poor pupils, and presenting gifts to those with good academic results.

Most notably, the Associations and its chapters have been active in helping thousands of pupils who had dropped out of school due to financial hardship to return to their schools. Thanks to their efforts, Da Nang has become one of the localities having the lowest rate of out-of-school pupils in the country.

The aforementioned information was released by the Association at its Tuesday ceremony to celebrate its 30^th birthday (October 26, 1991 - October 26, 2021).

In his speech delivered at the event, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh highly praised the Association for its outstanding achievements over the last 30 years. He also affirmed that the Association's activities made important contributions to the city’s cause of education and the socio-economic development.

Chairman Chinh asked the Association and its chapters at all levels to continue their efforts to promote the lifelong learning emulation movement, as well as offer financial help and award schemes to support poor school pupils in an effort to make sure that they get timely assistance to overcome their difficulties and continue pursuing their dreams of studying.

On this occasion, 4 individuals were awarded medals for the cause of study encouragement by the Central Vietnam Study Encouragement Association.
