Presenting 40,000 " welfare packages of Trade Union" to poor workers.
" Welfare packages of Trade Union " under the policy of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) are deployed by the Da Nang chapter of Trade Union at all levels in order to practically take care of and share hardships of Trade Union members, workers affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

As of October 22, there have been more than 630 employees and workers in 261 trade union units infected with COVID-19 and thousands of close COVID-19 contacts being quarantined; More than 180 enterprises having trade unions had to stop operating with 13,000 employees leaving. The majority of workers encountering difficulties are in tourism, service, transportation, non-public educational institutions. Therefore, the enhancement of support for difficult trade union members and employees directly affected by COVID-19 is the current key task of the Da Nang Trade Union.
When the VGCL deployed "Welfare packages of Trade Union ", the Da Nang chapter of VGCL had awarded 40,000 welfare gifts to support members and employees affected by COVID-19.
This October, Da Nang Labour Federation promptly handed over 5,000 welfare gifts to employees, with each valued at VND 200,000, from the accumulated trade union finance to take care of and share hardships with its members and employees.
As reported by municipal Labour Union Chairman Nguyen Duy Minh at an online conference with the VGCL on pandemic prevention and control duties and taking care of employees, during the 4th wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the city’s trade union has spent over VND 27 billion to support for 13,152 needy members and employees by presenting cash, essential items, and loans from the Capital Aid Fund for Employees, poor labour; visiting frontline forces working at medical facilities, quarantine and blockaded areas; support VND 1 million per one for 8,225 employees at 73 businesses implementing "3 on-site”.
From now till the end of the year, Da Nang Labour Federation plans to give a visit and hand over gifts to trade union members and employees; those being in quarantine facilities and rented accommodations. In addition, on the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union and the 11th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day, the unit has presented 2,189 gifts, each valued at VND 1 million support needy female trade union members have lost their jobs due to the impact of COVID-19 in 2021.
