The Da Nang government has announced specific rules which will be applied to people entering or returning to Da Nang from other parts of the country.

The government has made rules to reduce the chance of people bringing coronavirus into Da Nang. You have to follow the rules if you arrive in Da Nang or if you’re coming back to Da Nang from outside the city.

You must fill in a health declaration form either on the NCOVI and Vietnam Health Declaration apps co-developed by the Ministry of Health Ministry of Information and Communications, or on Da Nang- developed apps, namely Danang Smart City  and khaibaoyte.danang gov.vn before travel. Users can provide personal information and physical conditions on the ‘Universal health declaration’ section on the home screen and update their own data in the ‘health tracking’ section. These apps are now available on Android's Google Play Store.

You must complete a health control form on these apps and obtain your QR Code, to show it upon arrival in Da Nang.

Compliance with the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health is compulsory for entry into Da Nang. You will be required to get free rapid antigen test for COVID-19 at entry points in Da Nang if you have symptoms of coronavirus before entering the city.

Home quarantine is required for persons entering or returning to Da Nang from localities at alert level 1 and level 2, and compliance with COVID-19 guidelines is made mandatory for these people in line with the current direction.

All people entering Da Nang from areas at alert level 3 and level 4, must present a proof of negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test taken within 72 hours of arrival.

If you do not have proof of a negative test result, you must undergo rapid antigen testing at entry points in Da Nang before entering the city, and you must pay for COVID-19 testing.

Quarantine policy will be not applied to people coming from areas at alert level 3 but they are required to self-monitor their health.

All people entering Da Nang from areas at alert level 4 must undergo 7-day home quarantine upon arrival if they have a proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 infection in the past six months, while 14-day home quarantine will be applied to those who have received just one dose.

If people entering Da Nang are older people, those with underlying health conditions, pregnant women, and younger people below 18 years, they will undergo home quarantine or will be placed under quarantine in designated facilities (if required) with their caregivers in line with the city’s regulations. However, they must pay for COVID-19 testing and staying in managed isolation in accordance with the city’s rules. The city will consider funding these costs if they are the poor and social policy beneficiaries.

If groups travelling to Da Nang for business purpose, drivers of vehicles carrying goods or passengers into the city from areas at alert level 4, or being put under medical isolation, stay in the city for less than 24 hours, they must present a proof of negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival, or certicate of receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. In addition, this rule will be only applied to them if their means of transport do not stop or park in COVID-19 affected areas during their journey to Da Nang.

14-day home quarantine and COVID-19 testing are made mandatory for arrivals who stay in Da Nang for more than 24 hours.

If you wish to leave Da Nang but have yet to complete their quarantine period, you must ask for permission from the health agency in a bid to adopt appropriate measures to protect the safety of yourselves and their wider communities, as well as mitigate the risk of virus spread.
