Tho Quang Seafood Wholesale Market to reopen from 0am on October 15 after COVID-19 closure

Da Nang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Director Nguyen Phu Ban on Thursday morning announced that the Tho Quang Seafood Wholesale Market will reopen its doors to traders and buyers from 0am on October 15 following a temporary closure due to COVID-19.

The decision on reopening the venue came after based on a careful risk assessment to keep it as safe as possible.

The venue will open twice a day from dawn to early morning and at noon.

All people entering and working at this market must comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines in order to protect themselves and others.

Owners of fishing boats will be allowed to bring their seafood to the Tho Quang Wholesale Seafood Market for sale but they must be kept separated by a safe distance in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Fishing vessels from Da Nang and outside the city that have operated at sea for 14 days or more but did not depart from or visit COVID-19-affected areas will be allowed to operate in the Tho Quang Seafood Wholesale Market and Fishing Wharf.

Only 50% of the traders operating at the Tho Quang Seafood Wholesale Market will be allowed to sell their products at this venue on a rotating basis.
