On Thursday, a small boat carrying 4 people was caught red-handed intentionally running through a COVID-19 quarantine checkpoint set up at the Man Quang Border Guard Post, Son Tra District, Da Nang during their illegal way to the Tho Quang fishing wharf.

Upon the detection of the aforementioned violation, functional forces took a specialised canoe to approach the boat for inspection.

The offending boat’s operator who is a man dwelling in Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District confessed that his boat had carried 4 crew members of a fishing vessel coded QB 92349 TS from the north-central coastal province of Quang Binh into the wharf for seafood trading without making compulsory medical declarations.

A fine of VND7.5 million has been imposed on this violation case.

Under the current rules, all of crew members onboard fishing boats shall have to make mandatory medical declarations, have their QR codes for entrance scanned and test negative for the virus before entering the Tho Quang fishing wharf for seafood trading activities.
