Da Nang is giving out the first and second doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to more than 126,264 eligible people from November 5 to 10, the Da Nang Department of Health has announced.

All those aged 18 or over that haven't received a jab yet will get their first life-saving COVID-19 jab to protect themselves, their friends and their family. Beneficiaries are foreigners and overseas Vietnamese who are staying in Da Nang, along with those working for foreign companies that are operating in the city.

In addition, people who have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be offered their second dose during the ongoing COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

In an attempt to speed up vaccinations, the health agency has set up 9 vaccination sites across the city. The administration of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine is carried out in fast and effective practices in line with the Ministry of Health’s guidance.

Protocols have been established for the management of adverse reactions following immunization. Healthcare workers are prepared to recognize and treat allergic reactions.
