Of the 21 community infections of COVID-19, three were workers confirmed to contract SARS-CoV-2 through testing conducted at the Viet Hoa company.

Another community-acquired patient was a medical worker at the Oncology Hospital.

Also, 17 people had intentionally gone in-person to some medical facilities citywide for COVID-19 testing due to their displaying of some suspicious symptoms and they then tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 there. In detail, four cases were documented at the Son Tra District Health Centre, whilst three cases each at the Thien Nhan Clinic, the Hoan My Hospital and the Da Nang-based 199 Hospital under the Ministry of Public Security, and one each at the Lien Chieu District Medical Centre, Hoa Cuong Nam Ward Health Station in Hai Chau District, the Binh Dan Hospital and the Tam Tri Hospital.

Of special note, three of the aforementioned patients were residents at the Monarchy apartment building, and one of them had visited a funeral at 33 Nhon Hoa 21 Street.

The cases recorded on Saturday were related to 18 highly contiguous infection chains.

In particular, 48 out of the 66 cases of COVID-19 were highly likely to spread to the community, recorded in the total seven districts, namely Thanh Khe with 14 cases, Son Tra with 13, Lien Chieu with 10, Cam Le with five, Hai Chau with four, Ngu Hanh Son and Hoa Vang with one.

Also on Friday, a combined total of 14,269 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 13,446 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
