Da Nang logs 3 new community infections of COVID-19 and one in managed isolation on Nov.3

On November 3, Da Nang recorded four new cases of COVID-19, of which three were found in the community whilst the remaining one was detected in under managed isolation.

In detail, of the community-acquired patients, two worked as waitresses at the Le Gia 2 Restaurant, Lot A5 Pham Van Dong, Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang. The duo tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 at the Da Nang-based Hospital 199 under the Ministry of Public Security. The remaining one was a worker involved in making aluminum doors. He had gone in-person to the Tam Tri Da Nang General Hospital for testing.

Wednesday also detected one patient who was a returnee from coronavirus-stricken Ho Chi Minh City, found to be infected with the virus during mandatory quarantine at home. 

On the same day, a combined total of 5,163 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 3,965 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

On the same day, Da Nang handled 98 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide.
Currently, 12 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities, three are under managed isolation at medical facilities and 685 are self-quarantining at home.

The city now has five blockaded sites, putting 96 households with a combined total of 340 people under lockdown.

A combined total of 209 people are put under compulsory quarantine in nine centralised facilities.

On November 3, the city received 191,250 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Up to now, 1,140,991 out of the already received 1,316,106 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 888,580 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 252,411 have got the second jabs against the highly contagious disease.

In all, four coronavirus cases were reported on Sunday, taking Da Nang’s total to 4,732 since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started here.
