Da Nang logs 4 new cases of COVID-19 on Nov.2, all in managed isolation, no community infection

On November 2, Da Nang recorded 4 new cases of COVID-19, all of which were found in managed isolation. No new community infection was recorded today.

In detail, there were two patients who were returnees from coronavirus-stricken Ho Chi Minh City to their home on Ham Nghi Street, Thac Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang.

Upon their arrival in Da Nang, the two were brought to the Ward’s medical station by relatives for mandatory medical declarations and rapid antigen tests.

As subjects returning from localities with pandemic risk level 2, according to the national regulations, both of them were instructed to undergo self quarantine at  home and test for the virus twice. The health sector emphasized that the duo are not at risk of spreading the virus to the community.

The remaining two patients who were residents at  K318 Nui Thanh, Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District were found in the city’s centralised quarantine facilities as close coronavirus contacts

Also on Tuesday, a combined total of 9,275 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 7,942 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

On the same day, Da Nang handled 212 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide.

Currently, 12 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities, three are under managed isolation at medical facilities and 684 are self-quarantining at home.

The city now has five blockaded sites, putting 96 households with a combined total of 340 people under lockdown.

A combined total of 209 people are put under compulsory quarantine in nine centralised facilities.

Up to now, 1,103,809 out of the already received 1,124,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 858,314 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 245,495 have got the second jabs against the highly contagious disease.

In all, four coronavirus cases were reported on Sunday, taking Da Nang’s total to 4,728 since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started here.
