Da Nang records 11 community infections among 65 new COVID-19 cases on Nov.29

Da Nang recorded 65 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, November 29, 11 of which were found in the community, 12 in local centralised quarantine facilities, 24 during at-home quarantine, 14 in locked-down residential sites, four at quarantine checkpoints set up at the city’s gateways, the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said in its latest bulletin.

Ten of the 11 community-acquired patients had intentionally gone in-person to some medical facilities citywide for COVID-19 testing due to their displaying of some suspicious symptoms and they then tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 there. In detail, two active case of coronavirus were detected via tests at the Health Station of Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, and one were each found at the Vinmec Hospital, the Health Station of Hoa Khanh Nam Ward in Lien Chieu District, the clinics of Thien Nhan, Hoa Khanh, An Duc and Pasteur, and the private hospitals of Hoan My and Tam Tri.

The remaining one found in the community was detected via a test conducted at home by medical staff.

The cases recorded on Monday were related to 24 highly contiguous infection chains.

Lien Chieu recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections on Monday with 16, followed by 13 in Thanh Khe, nine in Son Tra, five in Hai Chau, three in Ngu Hanh Son, and one in Cam Le.

There are currently 164 completely- blockaded residential areas, putting 1,309 households with a combined total of 8,592 people under lockdown.

A combined total of 1,252 people are put under compulsory quarantine in 17 centralised facilities.

Da Nang has recorded 1,015 infections, 105 of which were returnees from other cities and provinces nationwide, since October 16 when the city saw the resurgence of COVID-19 community-based cases.
