Da Nang reports 3 COVID-19 cases in the community, 10 in managed isolation on Nov.4

Da Nang recorded 13 new cases of COVID-19 on November 4, three of them were found in the community, eight were found during mandatory at-home quarantine and the remaining two were detected in designated quarantine facilities the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed.

The first community case is a 30-year-old man residing on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District. He came in-person to the Son Tra Medical Centre due to the display of some suspicious symptoms and test positive for SARS-CoV-2.

The source of the infection linked to this patient has remained unknown till date.The second community-acquired patient is an 18-year-old resident at K325 Hung Vuong, Vinh Trung Ward, Thanh Khe District. He had a traffic accident near the Hoa An Ward Medical Station in Cam Le District and was rushed to this site for treatment. He then tested positive for the virus via a mandatory rapid antigen test here.

The remaining one is a female who lived in the same house with the aforementioned teenager.

As reported, four out of the seven districts in Da Nang have recorded cases at risk of spreading to the community, namely Son Tra with seven cases, Thanh Khe with three, and the Hai Chau and Ngu Hanh Son districts with one each.

There were four chains of infection recorded on Thursday, of which three are at a high risk of further spread. 202 direct and 137 indirect contacts of the new community cases have been identified.

Up to now, 1,153,363 out of the already received 1,316,106 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 900,042 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 253,321 have got the second jabs against the highly contagious disease.

Da Nang’s COVID-19 infection tally has till date reached 4, 745 since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started here.
