The Da Nang government has announced home quarantine rules for all contacts of COVID-19 cases and recoveries.

Primary close contacts can stay in managed isolation in a designated facility or a hotel but they must pay for managed isolation. You can also self-isolate at home or your places of residence under close monitoring of healthcare workers

Seven-day home quarantine will be applied to primary close contacts who have fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or got their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days from the date of your last exposure or a person who have recovered from COVID-19 within the 6 previous months. You must get RT-PCR tests on the first and seventh dates from the date of their last exposure.

You must continue to self-monitor your health at home or your places of residence for the next 7 days. Strict observance of the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health is compulsory for you during home quarantine. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms within your isolation, you must contact with your local healthcare facility to seek medical advice and requirements.

Fourteen-day home quarantine will be applied to primary close contacts that have not yet been vaccinated or have received just one dose. The quarantine period begins at the time of your contact with a COVID-19 case. You must get RT-PCR tests on the first and fourteenth dates and rapid antigen test on the seventh day from the date of your last exposure.

You must continue to self-monitor your health at home or your places of residence for the next 14 days. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms within your isolation, you must contact with your local healthcare facility to get rapid antigen test and RT-PCR test.

Secondary close contacts must self-isolate at home while waiting for COVID-19 test result of their contacts. If tests on your close contacts come back negative for the virus, you will be released from home isolation. However, you must undergo home quarantine if your contacts test positive for COVID-19. You will be required to self-isolate at home and get tested for the virus as the same as the primary close contacts.

All other contacts of confirmed cases or those who have been in COVID-19 exposure sites must self-monitor their health for 14 days from the date of your last exposure. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, you must consult with your local healthcare facility for what to do.

COVID-19 recoveries must self-monitor their health at home or their places of residence for 7 days from the discharge date as well as check their body temperature twice a day. If your body temperature rises above 38°C in 2 consecutive measurements or develop any abnormal symptoms, you should contact with your local healthcare facility to seek medical advice and get PCR tests.
