Over 83% of Vietnamese people aged 18 and above receive at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines

According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, as of Monday afternoon, 83.2% of the total Vietnamese people aged 18 and above across the country had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines is 83.2%, whilst the rate of administering a full 2 – dose course was 39.8%.

By region, these rates were 73.9% and 33.9%, respectively in the north, whilst the central region were 82.0% and 25.7%, the Central Highlands 72.8% and 10.5%, and the south 92.9% and 52.5%.

Da Nang is amongst the 14 Vietnamese cities and provinces which had administered at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines to over 95% of their population aged 18 and above, along with Ha Noi, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Long An, Lam Dong, Vinh Long, Binh Duong and Ca Mau.

There are 12 cities and provinces where over 50% of their total residents aged 18 and above have given 2 shots of COVID-19 vaccines, namely Long An (100%), Khanh Hoa (89.7%), Quang Ninh (86.8%) ), Ho Chi Minh City (80.4%), Dong Nai (75.4%), Lang Son (72.6%), Ha Noi (69.2%), Binh Duong (67.6%), Ha Nam (62.1%), Bac Ninh (61.4%), Ninh Binh (51.2%), and Dong Thap (51.1%).

There are 5 provinces with the lowest coverage rate of at least one dose of vaccine for the adult population: Son La (42.2%), Thanh Hoa (46.0%), Nam Dinh (49.9%) ), Tuyen Quang (50.6%) and Nghe An (54.4%).
