“Australia’s vaccine deliveries to neighbours across our Indo-Pacific region are complemented by additional support to ensure safe and effective vaccine rollouts. In Viet Nam, Australia’s AUD$60 million COVID-19 package is helping to train healthcare workers, provide fridges to maintain cold chain storage and support the vaccine rollout in remote provinces,” she said.
“Timely and equitable COVID-19 vaccine access is a priority for our region, and it is important for our shared health security and economic recovery.”
Australia has shared over 12 million vaccines as part of a commitment of 60 million doses for the Indo-Pacific region by the end of 2022.
Viet Nam has administered 140.44 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, with 76.11 million first doses, 62.96 million second doses, and 1.36 million third doses.
