The Da Nang People's Committee has just issued a decision to establish a team to handle problems for speeding up the project of Lang Van resort and entertainment complex in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District.

Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son is the group leader, whilst the Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Tran Thi Thanh Tam acts as the deputy leader. The group’s members include the leaders of some municipal departments and agencies.

The working group is in charge of proposing the municipal government to push forward the progress of the Lang Van resort and entertainment complex.

Covering on an area of nearly 1,000 ha, the Lang Van complex is being developed by Vinpearl JSC, a member of Viet Nam's leading private conglomerate VinGroup.

Once operational, the project is promised to offer luxury tourism experiences for travellers to Da Nang, develop a prestigious tourism service with its own identity, develop a new architectural landmark for the city, create more employment for local residents and make a large contribution to the city budget.

The investor has proposed adjusting the project in the direction of forming an urban area with over 100 hectares of residential land. However, accepting the adjustment is not under the authority of the Da Nang People's Committee. The Ministry of Planning and Investment will be in charge of receiving the adjustment dossier for is submission to the Prime Minister for approval.
