Documents, artifacts on display at Hoang Sa Exhibition House revised
Since the start of this year, a total of more than 40 documents and exhibits on the Hoang Sa Archipelago currently on display at Da Nang-based Hoang Sa Exhibition House have been revised.
On display at this highly popular exhibition house are a large number of documents and artifacts grouped according to themes: the geographical position and natural conditions of the Hoang Sa Archipelago, Hoang Sa in old Vietnamese bibliographies issued before, and during the feudal Nguyen Dynasty over the 1802 - 1945 period, evidence about Viet Nam’s sovereignty over the archipelago during the 1945 - 1974 period, and the period from 1974 until now.
This attraction offers visitors a deeper insight into Viet Nam’s sacred sovereignty, and helps them find out fascinating stories of the nation’s beloved islands behind valuable exhibits.
The exhibition tells the history of Viet Nam from founding to exercising its sovereignty over the archipelago in a peaceful and continuous manner, and in line with international laws.
The documents, artifacts and images on display have been revised to ensure historical and scientific characters and suitable for the exhibition space.
In particular, the restoration of artifacts such as landmarks of sovereignty and lighthouses creates lively visual experience for visitors.
Inaugurated from March 28, 2018, the site has attracted a combined total of more than 60,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
Local researchers have been pouring much time and efforts in collecting many relevant materials from both home and abroad, which assert Viet Nam’s indisputable sovereignty over the Hoang Sa Archipelago.
Besides, both domestic and foreign collectors have voluntarily donated artifacts and documents about the archipelago for display at the exhibition house.
