Son Tra and Lien Chieu districts have registered the highest daily new cases over recent days.

Vice Chairwoman Yen asked the health agency to provide active support for the most affected districts to help them contain the resurgence of local outbreaks.

Authorities at local level were tasked to work closely with the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks to generate accurate risk assessment to enable the most effective measures to be taken to deal with new infections in manufacturing businesses in a bid to break the chains of transmission and stop the spread of the virus.

Mrs Yen stated that the reopening of essential activities and services in the new normal amid COVID-19 resulted in a spike in cases. Da Nang is seeing steep rises in coronavirus cases, many of which come from unknown sources.

Hence, she called on authorities at local level to take drastic action to contain new outbreaks in their local areas.

The Da Nang leader directed the health agency to assess the effectiveness of the city’s pilot program for COVID-19 patients with mild illness to recover at home in order to give advice to the municipal administration to expand it across the city in the coming time.
