Two men arrested for assisting illegal immigration into Viet Nam
Two Vietnamese men have been arrested and prosecuted for having facilitated Chinese nationals to illegally enter Viet Nam.

The arrestees were Nguyen Van Khanh from Tien Kien Commune, Lam Thao District, and Nguyen Manh Ha from My Luong Commune, Yen Lap District in the northern province of Phu Tho.
Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on December 9, through their surprise patrol along a section of an approach road to the south of Hai Van Tunnel in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, the police caught red handed a vehicle carrying six Chinese passengers, all of whom failed to present their passports and visas proving their illegal entry into Viet Nam.
Investigations showed that six Chinese nationals entered the country illegally through the China - Viet Nam border area in the territory of Quang Ninh province on December 8 in a an attempt to seek job opportunities in Viet Nam or make illegal entry into Cambodia.
With the help of individual brokers, these six Chinese nationals were taken from Quang Ninh to the capital city of Ha Noi.
Upon their arriving in Ha Noi, 6 Chinese passengers were transported to the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City by a vehicle whose drivers were Khanh and Ha. The offenders were discovered by functional forces whilst passing through Da Nang.
The Da Nang police will conduct further investigation to clarify the responsibilities of individuals and organizations involved in facilitating illegal immigration of these foreign nationals.
