Investigations showed that six Chinese nationals entered the country illegally through the China - Viet Nam border area in the territory of Quang Ninh province on December 8 in a an attempt to seek job opportunities in Viet Nam or make illegal entry into Cambodia.

With the help of individual brokers, these six Chinese nationals were taken from Quang Ninh to the capital city of Ha Noi.

Upon their arriving in Ha Noi, 6 Chinese passengers were transported to the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City by a vehicle whose drivers were Khanh and Ha. The offenders were discovered by functional forces whilst passing through Da Nang.
