Da Nang's COVID-19 count stands at 877 on Jan. 31

Da Nang documented 877 coronavirus infections on Monday, January 31, of which 634 were found in the community and the 243 remaining ones were found during at-home quarantine periods.

Of the aforementioned community-acquired cases, 350 were detected through tests at public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups.

Meanwhile, 276 patients were found to be contract the coronavirus via rapid tests conducted by the staff of ward/commune-levelled medical stations.

The remaining community-based patients consisted of 4 employees working at many local production and business establishments, 3 returnees to Da Nang from other coronavirus-stricken localities nationwide and one local medical worker, all of whom were confirmed to contract the coronavirus via periodic testing.

Cases with a high risk of further community transmission were recorded at all local districts: 124 each in Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu, 99 in Son Tra, 98 in Hoa Vang, 96 in Hai Chau, 56 in Cam Le and 31 in Ngu Hanh Son.

Also on the same day, a combined total of 5, 246 residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken by the local medical staff for COVID-19 testing, of whom 925 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

Till date, 2,169,219 shots of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered across the city. Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 980,979 have received the first jab, whilst 961,771 have got the second dose, and 226,469 have accessed the third shot against the highly contagious disease.
