Da Nang's daily COVID-19 count jumps to 657 on Jan. 13
Da Nang’s daily COVID-19 count rose to 657 on Thursday, January 13, of which 356 were acquired in the community, 59 in centralised quarantine facilities, 221 during at-home quarantine and the 21 remaining ones in locked-down residential sites.
Below is need-to-know information on the community-acquired patients.
A total of 216 were detected through tests at public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups or COVID-19 tests due to the showcasing of suspicious symptoms.
Meanwhile, 98 infections were discovered by rapid testing conducted at ward and commune-level health stations.
Also, 30 active cases of COVID-19 operating at the Con Market were discovered.
Six infections were discovered at many local businesses via periodic tests, namely the Crown, Viet Nam Kanzaki, Scavi Hue, Huu Nghi (Friendship) and Pivina companies.
Three local police officers, one member of the Hoa Hai Ward pandemic prevention force, and one medical staffer at the Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital and one candidate sitting for an exam seeking permanent public servants in Lien Chieu District were all confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
Of the day’s active caseload, 525 cases were at a high risk of further community transmission recorded at all local districts, especially 110 in Son Tra, 101 in Thanh Khe, 93 in Lien Chieu, 77 in Hai Chau, 52 in Ngu Hanh Son, 50 in Cam Le and 42 in Hoa Vang.
Also on Thursday, a combined total of 19,020 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, of whom 16,848 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
Till date, of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 976,397 have received the first jabs of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 959,539 have got two doses, and 104,486 have received the third shots against the highly contagious disease.
There are currently 208 completely- blockaded residential areas, putting 521 households with a combined total of 1,740 people under lockdown.
A total of 288 people are being put under compulsory quarantine in eight centralised facilities.
