Da Nang's daily COVID-19 count remains high at 453 on Jan.10

Da Nang’s daily COVID-19 caseload reached 453 on Monday, January 10, of which 230 were acquired in the community, eight in centralised quarantine facilities, 183 during at-home quarantine and the 32 remaining ones in locked-down residential sites.

Out of the total community-acquired patients logged on Monday, 210 were detected through tests at district and ward-level medical stations, public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups or COVID-19 tests due to the showcasing of suspicious symptoms.

Also, 15 employees working at the TTTI Company were found to contract the coronavirus via their periodic testing, whilst four traders operating at the Non Nuoc Market and one member of a grassroots COVID-19 prevention and control force were infected with the disease.

Of the day’s caseload, 378 cases were at a high risk of further community transmission recorded at all local districts, especially 92 in Son Tra, 79 in Thanh Khe, 55 in Hai Chau, 53 in Cam Le, 45 in Lien Chieu, 34 in Ngu Hanh Son and 20 in Hoa Vang.

Also on Monday, a combined total of 18,203 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, of whom 16,938 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

Till date, of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 976.008 have received the first jabs of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 959,072 have got two doses, and 82,467 have received the third shots against the highly contagious disease.

There are currently 200 completely- blockaded residential areas, putting 455 households with a combined total of 1,560 people under lockdown.

A total of 292 people are being put under compulsory quarantine in 10 centralised facilities.
