Some wet markets in Da Nang close down to suppress coronavirus
Several wet markets in Da Nang have been forced to close down in an attempt to curtail the spread of coronavirus, as the pandemic is breaking out on a large scale there.
Specifically, the Con Market, the largest wholesale and retail venue in Central Viet Nam, temporarily suspends its operation from January 12-15. On January 12, 63 active cases of COVID-19 operating at the Con Market were discovered.
During the temporary break, the Management Board of the Con Market requests family-run businesses and stall market holders to contact their nearest medical facilities to make medical declarations and get consultancy to support the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures as prescribed.
Upon its reopening, stall market holders are required to show their negative test results via the RT-PCR technique with validity within 72 hours.
Meanwhile, the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities close down the Non Nuoc Market, and suspend business activities at some stalls selling fish, meat and vegetables at the Bac My An Market.
