2,194,656 doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered in Da Nang
Da Nang confirmed an additional 939 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, February 10, of which 790 were found in the community, 2 in a centralised quarantine establishment, and the 147 remaining ones logged during home-based quarantine.
Of the aforementioned community-acquired cases, 452 were detected through tests at public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups and tests.
There were 281 patients were found to be contract the coronavirus via rapid tests conducted by the staff of ward/commune-levelled medical stations.
The remaining community-based patients were 11 returnees to Da Nang from other coronavirus-stricken localities, 3 local medical workers and 43 employees at local production and business establishments, all of whom were found to contract the coronavirus through periodic sampling.
Cases with a high risk of further community transmission were recorded at all local districts: 187 infections in Lien Chieu, 159 in Son Tra, 134 in Hoa Vang, 114 in Thanh Khe, 82 in Hai Chau, 64 in Cam Le and 39 in Ngu Hanh Son.
Also on the same day, a combined total of 9,763 residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken by the local medical staff for COVID-19 testing, of whom 3,883 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
Up to now, 2,194,656 shots of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered across the city. Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 981,008 have received one vaccine shot, whilst 964,582 have got two and 249,066 have accessed three.
Currently, a total of 19 people who are COVID-19 close contacts are kept in 3 centralised quarantine facilities.
