2,364,532 doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered in Da Nang

Till date, a total of 2,364,532 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Da Nang, comprising the first, second and third shots, the Da Nang Steering Board of COVID-19 Prevention and Control said on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the medical force administered 2,940 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to local residents. In detail, four people got the second dose whilst 2,936 others received the third shot.

Tuesday also reported 2,877 recoveries from COVID-19 in Da Nang, of which 2,738 were documented during home-based treatment and the remaining 139 ones were reported at healthcare facilities citywide.

A total of 139 patients were discharged from medical facilities following their recovery from COVID-19 on the day, namely the Da Nang Lung Hospital with seven recoveries, the Hoa Vang Medical Centre with 17, the Field Hospital with 89, the C Hospital and the Da Nang General Hospital with three each, the Son Tra Medical Centre with five, the Hai Chau Medical Centre with one and the Da Nang Family Hospital with 14.

Currently, a total of 1,419 patients infected with the coronavirus are receiving treatment at the aforementioned medical facilities, of whom 267 are severely ill.

On the day, a total of 2,738 COVID-19 patients ended home isolation after having made full recovery from this highly contagious disease.

At present, 25,071 patients are under home-based treatment, of which 14,756 are asymptomatic and 10,315 are mild.

Up to now, 67,307 cases have been received home-based isolation and treatment, and 41,458 of them have recovered from the highly contagious disease.

On Tuesday, Da Nang confirmed an additional 946 COVID-19 cases, of which 863 were acquired in the community.
