Da Nang COVID-19 daily cases exceed 1,000 mark for first time on Feb.28

Da Nang recorded a further 1,128 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, February 28, of which 928 were acquired in the community. This is a highest-ever daily coronavirus infection increase and the first time that the city has exceeded the 1,000 case mark.

Out of the community-acquired patients documented on Monday, there were 596 locals being positive for the coronavirus through tests conducted at some public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups or COVID-19 tests, 318 infected patients found via rapid tests conducted by medical staff, one local medical staffer an 13 returnees from coronavirus-stricken localities nationwide.

Monday logged 4,354 recoveries from COVID-19 in Da Nang, of which 4,067 were documented during home-based treatment and the remaining 287 ones were reported at healthcare facilities citywide.

A total of 287 patients were discharged from medical facilities following their recovery from COVID-19 on Monday, namely the Da Nang Lung Hospital with 10 recoveries, the Hoa Vang Medical Centre with 25, the Field Hospital with 125, the C Hospital with 15, the Da Nang General Hospital with five, the Hai Chau, Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra medical centres with 11, the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics with 34, the 199 Hospital with 19, and the Da Nang Oncology Hospital with four, the Vinmec Hospital with two, the Hoan My Hospital with eight and the Da Nang Family Hospital with 29.

Currently, a total of 1,838 patients infected with the coronavirus are receiving treatment at the aforementioned medical facilities, of whom 268 are severely ill.

On the day, a total of 4,067 COVID-19 patients ended home isolation after having made full recovery from this highly contagious disease.

Currently, 45,784 patients are under home-based treatment, of which 26,047 are asymptomatic and 19,737 are mild.

Till date, 108,036 cases have been received home-based isolation and treatment, and 61,132 of them have recovered from the highly contagious disease.

2,381,046 shots of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered across the city. Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 983,021 have received one vaccine shot, whilst 967,967 have got two and 430,058 have accessed three.
