On Tuesday, February 8, the 8^th day of the 1^st lunar month of 2022, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, municipal Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh paid visits to some outstanding businesses at the beginning of the Lunar New Year.

Accordingly, Secretary Quang, accompanied by municipal People's Council Standing Vice Chairman Le Minh Trung and People's Committee Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh extended best wishes to the staff of the Apple Film Da Nang Co., Ltd. based in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District.

Secretary Quang emphasised the fact that the city's leaders have always created the most favourable conditions for the business community for the sake of their recovery and development in the coming time.

He also highly applauded the company for investing in technological innovation and equipment purchase to increase productivity as well as using recycled materials of domestic origin. He believed that it would record more achievements and develop more prosperously this year.

Whilst visiting the FPT Software Da Nang and Hy Vong Boarding School in FPT Urban Area, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Secretary Quang highly appreciated the good performance made by the FPT Software Da Nang over recent years.

In particular, in 2021, despite COVID-19-triggered difficulties, the company still recorded growth, especially increasing by more than 1,000 engineers as compared to 2020. Its software export revenue reached more than VND1,500 billion, an increase of VND60 billion from 2020, and up VND213 billion compared to 2019. The average income of the material officials and employees was VND19.2 million /person/month.

The Hy Vong (Hope) Boarding School project initiated by the FPT Corporation show a humanitarian deed with the goal of providing education and care to about 1,000 primary and secondary school graders across Viet Nam who became orphans due to COVID-19 until they reach early adulthood.

Till date, the venue has welcomed 34 children and this figure is expected to have reached 270 by September.

On the same day, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet and municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son checked the production and business operation at the beginning of the lunar new year at the Da Nang Port JSC.

In 2021, the company set sights on developing infrastructure serving tourist and container ports and accelerating logistics services, thus contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the city.

It is known that logistics is now one of the five key industries in Da Nang. The company, therefore, shall further modernize services to improve its competitiveness, increase its revenue and strengthen administrative reform so as to partly boost the development of the city's logistics. It is also recommended to focus on strategic and key markets, especially in Central Viet Nam and along the East-West Economic Corridor.

At the Sun Group, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet highly appreciated it for enthusiastically accompanying the city in the tough fight against COVID-19 prevention and control and maintains its role as the leading enterprise in making great contributions to the municipal budget.

At the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet suggested that the company continue to promote solutions and inventions in production, thereby optimising labour power, promoting digital transformation and green production.

In 2021, the enterprise's industrial production value reached VND 990 billion, a rise of 10% from the same period in 2020. It export turnover climbed by 16% to US$74.67 million and the average income of employees was 8.5 million VND/person/month.

Whilst extending Tet wishes to the staff of the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), Chairman Chinh thanked the company for its great support and companionship with the city over the past two years amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the municipal government leader, March, 2022 is scheduled to restore all international flights, paving a way for tourism activities to warm up.

During the Tet 2022 break, the number of tourists increased by 17% from the Tet 2021.

Currently, such outstanding tourism businesses as Ba Na Hills, DHC and some coastal tourist facilities are restructuring and developing new tourism products to serve the diversified tourist needs.

Currently, AHT is coordinating with relevant agencies to actively prepare for the Routes Asia 2022, which will be hosted by Da Nang in June. This much-awaited event aims to offer great opportunities for Da Nang to resume international flights, thus spurring international trade and resuming international tourism.

Visiting the Da Nang branch of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel), Chairman Chinh assessed that, the company has, over the years, pioneered in digital transformation and very effective cooperation with Da Nang in digital transformation.

Accordingly, in the coming time, the city leaders and relevant local agencies will give their maximum support for Viettel to deploy its projects in the city.

It is known that, in 2021, Viettel, with more than 40,000 employees, recorded VND274,000 billion in revenue, up 3.3%, whilst its profit went up 2% to VND40,100 billion. It made a contribution of nearly VND32,000 billion to the State budget.

Notably, Viettel continued to hold the No 1 position in the ranking of Top 50 most valuable brands in Viet Nam (Viet Nam 50) in 2021 with a valuation of more than US$6 billion for the sixth year in a row.

During his visit to the Hoa Phat Da Nang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Chairman Chinh hailed it for maintaining production and business activities and recording growth in revenue.

In 2021, this business made a high contribution of over VND145 billion to the city budget, thus creating jobs for over 500 employees.
