Also at the launching ceremony, the Da Nang Youth Union donated 2 library books totaling VND 50 million to Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts, handed over 2 outdoor playgrounds for children and teenagers worth VND 200 million to Hoa Vang and Lien Chieu districts. In addition, VND 200 million in funding went to repair 4 houses of youth union members in difficult circumstances, and 55,000 trees were donated to Hoa Vang District.
Besides, 4 youth volunteering squads made their debut. They will take the responsibility of supporting the city’s efforts in promoting digital transformation, providing effective treatment for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms under home-based isolation and care, encouraging young people to start-up firms, and giving back to the community.
Especially, the Da Nang Youth Union entered into a cooperation agreement with Victoria English Centre to renovate and upgrade a library of bilingual books for the community and children located at the municipal Children's Palace. The project aims to celebrate the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at a total estimated cost of VND 1.5 billion.
