Da Nang reports 935 new COVID-19 cases on Feb.7
Da Nang confirmed an additional 935 COVID-19 cases on Monday, February 7, of which 732 were found in the community, three in centralised quarantine establishments and the 200 remaining ones logged during home-based quarantine.
Of the aforementioned community-acquired cases, 372 were detected through tests at public and private medical facilities citywide during their intentional visits there for regular medical checkups and tests.
There were 347 patients were found to be contract the coronavirus via rapid tests conducted by the staff of ward/commune-levelled medical stations.
The remaining community-based patients were 10 returnees to Da Nang from other coronavirus-stricken localities and three employees at local production and business establishments, all of whom were found to contract the coronavirus through periodic sampling.
Cases with a high risk of further community transmission were recorded at all local districts: 183 in Thanh Khe, 144 in Hoa Vang, 123 in Cam Le, 104 in Lien Chieu, 87 in Son Tra, 67 in Hai Chau and 14 in Ngu Hanh Son.
Also on the same day, a combined total of 5, 269 residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken by the local medical staff for COVID-19 testing, of whom 2,788 tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
Up to now, 2,169,351 shots of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered across the city. Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 980,979 have received one vaccine shot, whilst 961,902 have got two and 226,470 have accessed three.
Currently, a total of 45 people who are COVID-19 close contacts are kept in four centralised quarantine facilities.
