Da Nang reports 981 new COVID-19 cases on Feb 24 with over 1,500 patients now treated in hospital
On Thursday, Da Nang-based medical facilities received 329 more COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of in-patients infected with the coronavirus here to 1,525, of which 227 are severely ill.
A total of 153 patients were discharged from medical establishments citywide on Thursday following their recovery from COVID-19, namely the Da Nang Lung Hospital with nine recoveries, the Hoa Vang Medical Centre with 21, the Field Hospital with 77, the Da Nang General Hospital with two, the Da Nang Oncology Hospital with one, the Hai Chau, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son medical centres with 16 in total and the Da Nang Family Hospital with 27.
On the day, a total of 3,093 COVID-19 patients ended home isolation after having made full recovery from this highly contagious disease.
At present, 31,014 patients are under home-based treatment, of which 17,305 are asymptomatic and 13,709 are mild.
Up to now, 79,116 cases have been received home-based isolation and treatment, and 47,448 of them have recovered from the highly contagious disease.
Till date, 2,366,300 shots of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered across the city. Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 982,923 have received one vaccine shot, whilst 967,842 have got two and 415,535 have accessed three.
On Thursday, Da Nang confirmed an additional 981 COVID-19 cases, of which 858 were acquired in the community.
