Environmental cleanups launched in Da Nang for preventing infectious diseases
On Saturday, at the Tho Quang fishing wharf in Son Tra District, the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment launched an environmental sanitation campaign for preventing infectious diseases.

The event was in an active response to the theme ‘The year of safe adaptation to and effective control of COVID-19’ and in contribution to building an environmentally-friendly city.
After the launching ceremony, staff from the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, the Centre for Environmental Engineering and Chemical Safety (CENTEC) of the Da Nang Union of Science and Technology Associations sprayed disinfectant and decontaminate odour for environmental protection and infectious disease prevention at the Tho Quang fishing wharf, the waste collection point at the Bui Quoc Hung - Pham Van Xao intersection, the Da Nang Poultry Cattle Processing Centre Da Nang (Da Son slaughterhouse), the Nai Hien Dong Market, E1 Lake in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District) and the Tan Long paper factory based in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, the Bac Dau Co., Ltd.
In a similar vein, the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC, the Da Nang branch of the Ha Noi Urban Environment Company Limited and many businesses operating in the Tho Quang Aquatic Service Industrial Park also launched environmental cleanups on some streets and sidewalks in a bid to contribute to building Da Nang into a green, clean and beautiful city.
