Man arrested in Da Nang for transporting 3kg of ketamine
Police officers from the Drug Crime Investigation Division of the Da Nang Police Department, in collaboration with other functional forces, have arrested a man for illegally transporting drugs in large quantities.
As reported that, on Saturday evening, at the intersection of Truong Chinh and Le Dai Hanh streets, Hoa Phat Ward, Cam Le District, the functional forces caught red-handed Le Van La, 43, a native of Thanh Ha Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam neighbouring province, illegally transporting 3 kg of ketamine that was disguised as bags of dried tea.
La was a taxi driver who had close relationships with many suspects in Quang Nam Province. La admitted to having transported ketamine for the reception of VND2 million or more, depending on the number of shipments from an unknown person in Quang Tri Province to Quang Nam Province.
Earlier, on the evening of February 17, also at the above-mentioned intersection, the Da Nang police also discovered and arrested Ngo Trong Minh, 23, a resident in Dien Phuoc Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province for illegal trading in narcotics. A total of 200 ecstasy pills were seized from this suspect.
Currently, the 2 cases are being under further investigations.
