On Monday, February 7, the first working day of the Year of the Tiger, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet paid a post-Tet trip to the Da Nang Newspaper to extend his best Tet wishes to its staff and deliver constrictive instructions for its development as well.

Addressing the get-together, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet wished the Da Nang Newspaper’s staff a happiness and health in the new year, and encouraged them to make excellent efforts to fulfill assigned political tasks.

At the same time, the city leader highly appreciated the outstanding achievements recorded by the Da Nang Newspaper in 2021, especially reflecting the exciting atmosphere during the Tet break in Da Nang.

According to Standing Deputy Secretary Triet, on the occasion of the Tet 2022, the city has taken good care of social policy beneficiaries and families with difficult circumstances.

Also, Tet activities took place in an exciting and joyful vibe and the number of tourists to the city increased as compared to the New Year of the Ox in 2021. Besides, security and traffic safety was maintained during the Tet holidays.

In the coming time, Standing Deputy Secretary Triet suggested that the Newspaper well perform key tasks with a focus on improving the quality of its operating activities, expeditiously completing the digital transformation process in a streamlined and in-depth direction.

He also added that affirming that the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee will always support and create the most favourable conditions for the Newspaper to implement the digital transformation project.

On his part, the Newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Duc Nam said that, in 2021, his agency’s staff well complete the assigned political tasks, made timely publications on the developments of the COVID-19 outbreaks and the socio-economic restoration and successfully organised a writing contest entitled ‘Da Nang on new day’. In particular, the number of visits on the Newspaper’s electronic versions increased sharply.

In 2022, the Newspaper will strive to soon complete the digital transformation project and improve the quality of in print and electronic publications.

Editor-in-Chief Nam thanked the Standing Committee of the municipal Party Committee for always supporting the Newspaper to perform its assigned tasks well. He also would like the city leaders to create favourable conditions for the Newspaper to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
