One road traffic accident recorded over 9 days of Tet holiday break
According to the Traffic Police Division of the Da Nang Police Department, during the 9-day Tet holiday break, from January 29 to February 6 (the 27th day of the last lunar month to the 6th day of the 1st lunar month), only one serious road traffic accident was recorded in the city, claiming one life.
The figure showed a decline of one in the number of traffic accidents, and injuries by three compared with the same period last year.
During that period, traffic police in the city detected and made 198 records of administrative violation to those failed the city’s traffic rules with 71 cars and 127 motorcycles involved.
As a result, a combined total of more than VND233.3 million in fines, which was imposed on 247 violation cases, went to the city's branch of the Viet Nam State Treasury. Eight motorbikes were temporarily seized, whilst 12 car drivers had their driving licences revoked.
