Sanitation workers clear up tonnes of litter for clean Da Nang

At 5:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 4th day of the 1st lunar month of 2022), more than 1,200 workers and 75 specialized vehicles from the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC flocked to many downtown streets to do cleanups and collect a large volumn of waste discharged by local households over the past 3 Tet days.

Along with that, more than 40 workers joined the collection of hazardous waste from a total of 2,900 residential homes and accommodation facilities where COVID-19 patients stayed during their homes/residences-based treatment periods.

Before that, from 14th -28th days of the last lunar month of 2021, the company’s employees collected a total of 19,679 tonnes of domestic waste for treatment with the average volume increasing by 400 tonnes/day as compared to weekdays.

Particularly on the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of 2021, a total of 4,124 tonnes of garbage were collected, 4 times higher than normal days.

During the 2nd and 3rd day of the 2022 Lunar New Year, 227 tonnes of garbage were collected.
The operation and treatment at Khanh Son landfill ensures safety and does not generate environmental pollution.
