The Da Nang People’s Committee has given a nod to the establishment of a steering committee for a project to develop the application of population data, electronic identification and authentication to serve the city's national digital transformation in the 2022 – 2025 period with a vision towards 2030.

Accordingly, municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh is the Head of the steering committee. Meanwhile, its the deputy heads are the directors of Police Department and the Chief of Office of municipal People's Committee and the leaders of other municipal departments, agencies and branches are members.

The Police Department is the standing body of the steering committee, develops implementation plans and reports, make proposals to the Head of the steering committee on the contents related to the project.

Digital transformation cannot be separated from digital data, as most of the systems and processes involved in digital transformation, whether high or low, rely on digital data.

Therefore, the development of the application of population data, electronic identification and authentication for national digital transformation is of great importance, bringing practical benefits to people, businesses, management and society as a whole.
