The Da Nang government has issued a plan to sort domestic solid waste at source in the city in 2022.

Accordingly, this year, 100% of districts, departments and related branches in the fields of industry, health care, education and training, tourism and services must have a plan to deploy the classification and collection of waste at source.

More than 90% of the residential groups and 85% of the households implement effective waste sorting, 100% of the schools and medical facilities, 90% of the industrial establishments in industrial parks and industrial clusters and 70% of the service and tourism establishments shall do waste sorting at the sort in line the city’s regulations.

The municipal administration has asked localities and units to review and update the general method of organising waste sorting at source to propose application in the 2023 – 2025 period.

The districts’ authorities shall develop a plan to organize the classification of waste at source, taking into account the method of organising the collection of food waste and other daily-life solid waste according to a pilot or trial scale, hazardous and toxic waste, construction trash, bulky and large-sized garbage.
